AIM Walk Information

The Northwest Arkansas Autism Support Group is proud to announce some very exciting news about the 2011 Autism Involves Me (AIM) Fun Walk and 5K.
This year’s events will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Gracepoint Church in Bentonville, AR. The 5k will begin at 8:30 am with the Fun Walk beginning at 8:45 am. Registration will begin at 7:30. Be sure to register by April 30 and save $10 on the registration fee.
We’re also very excited to unveil the new look for our event with a new logo, website and more!
We are very excited and can’t wait. Please help spread word. We’re looking forward to a very successful event.

Autism Grant Deadline

Hey All...the Autism Grant deadline is looming.  The deadline is March the 31st.  Good Luck with the paperwork and do not hesistate to ask for help. 

To do list for parents of children on the spectrum

1. Apply for the $5000 Autism Grant.  The due date for the grant to be completed is March the 31st.  If this is your first time for applying for the grant, I would strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment with Sheila Wennerstrom in the Fayetteville DHS office.  The office is located behind Applebees.  Her number is  479-527-9145.
.  The paperwork for the grant can be found on the Eye Contact Website http://www.eyecontactarkansas.org/dhs-2011-autism-grants/ . The categories and the amounts are also listed on this website.
2. Fill out your paperwork for the Arkansas $500 Tax Credit.  http://www.eyecontactarkansas.org/arkansas-500-tax-credit/ . Follow this link for information.
3. Fill out your paperwork for the DDS Waiver.  Get waiver packet from me or when you visit with Sheila.  We will be going over the DDS Waiver at our next meeting.
